"There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom
of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those
in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." --James
Madison, speech at the Virginia Ratifying Convention, 1788

Date: January 12th, 2012
Time: 6:45 pm
Location:

SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER: Tony Orta
Mr. Orta
is Vice President of the Executive Committee of the Pickens
County Republican Party. He is a a naturalized American of
Cuban descent. He came to the United States at the age of
16, not because he wanted to but to escape the Castro
regime. He knew no one, little English and was in a strange
land but he managed to make the best of the situation
because of the opportunities America offers to anyone who is
willing to work and strive to succeed. He has held CEO
positions with major companies and has his B.A. and
Doctorate in Business from the University of Georgia. His
Masters degree was obtained in Switzerland. Tony said,
"Since this regime was elected, and since it is almost a
facsimile of the actions I saw taken in my native Cuba, and
since I once lost a country to this ideology, I could not
sit by and watch my country be lost. So, I have been quite
active speaking when I can and trying to persuade when I
can." He has been a guest speaker at the many tea party
events/meetings, including Gilmer, Pickens, Dawson, Fannin,
Cherokee, and Canton.
We'll be
hearing from our various task forces: Gold Dome
Team with a report on state legislative news; the Federal Task Force; as the
County Watch program.
If
you've been putting off getting involved, now is the time to
get engaged.
As always, our meetings are open to ALL who seek
to learn the principles and spirit of individual liberty and
constitutionally limited self government. Please feel free to forward
this email and invite your friends.
Yours in liberty,
The Georgia Tea Party

Time: 9 am - 2:30pm
Location:
Double Tree Hotel - Marietta
2055 S. Park Place, Atlanta, GA

Sustainable development may sound like a responsible avenue
to travel, but dig deeper and you'll find that's not the
case.
Join Tom DeWeese, a top Agenda 21 expert, for a presentation
that will reveal the true intentions of those publishing
sustainable development through the United Nations' Agenda
21.
You will learn how Agenda 21 (Sustainable Development)
negatively affects your property rights, family, community
and YOUR FREEDOMS. And how to explain it to your friends and
neighbors. You will also learn that a number of mainstream
conservative think tanks like the Heritage Foundation have
studied and written about Agenda 21.
Tom DeWeese is one of the nation's leading advocates of
individual liberty, free enterprise, private property
rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education and
American sovereignty and independence. He is the Founder and
President of the American Policy Center.
Mr. DeWeese will reveal the true intentions of those pushing
sustainable development through the United Nations' Agenda
21. The seminar will not only inform you about the UN’s
Agenda 21, MORE IMPORTANTLY, YOU WILL LEARN WHAT YOU CAN DO
TO STOP IT!
