May 18, 2011

Hello Patriot Friends,

On Thursday, May 26, the Environmental Protection Agency will be taking public comment at its Atlanta offices regarding its power plant regulations. In addition, it will be accepting written comments until July 5.  We encourage everyone to participate! We know that many of the green groups are telling their folks to be active, and we need to balance their comments with free market conservative viewpoints.

Download this document for detailed instructions:
1)  Instructions on how to register to present comments of 3-5 minutes on May 26 (deadline is Tuesday) as well as instructions for submitting written commentary

2)  A review of the regulations being discussed and some relevant facts that dispute the validity of the basis upon which the EPA is proposing these rules

3)  A "strawman" letter that can be personalized and sent to the EPA for written comments.

We will be discussing these at our volunteer meeting tomorrow night (handouts will be available) but want to make sure our Federal Task Force team is actively engaged.

Yours in liberty,

The Georgia Tea Party

The Georgia Tea PartyTM has many things going on. Here are some opportunities to participate:

  • Forward this email to your friends and encourage them to sign up to be on our mailing list to get the latest news - see the form on the Get Involved page.
  • Join one of our Program groups.  There's something for everyone: Gold Dome lobbying, Precinct Captain, Constitutional Education, public relations, events and more.
  • Join us on Facebook and Twitter.
  • Check out our events calendar and attend other grassroots events.
  • Take action on your own.  See our Take Action plan on how to get educated on the Constitution, upcoming legislation and effectively contact your senators and representatives.
  • Make a donation.  We could use your donations to purchase additional materials like pocket Constitutions, Principles of Liberty DVDs, recruiting events, etc.

These are all terrific ways to meet others who share our belief in individual freedom and constitutionally-limited self-government. And I'm sure you will find, as we have, many delightful, interesting and engaging individuals who, like you, care deeply about our country and protecting our constitution.  Thank you for your continued support.
